From age 11 Jon knew he wanted to be his own boss. He started his own lawn mowing business that quickly flourished and lead to the start of his painting business in college. He grew Potter Painting into one of the biggest and most profitable painting companies in Raleigh, North Carolina. In the late 90’s Jon decided to take his expertise in residential and commercial painting into the world of home building. He established Masters Properties, Inc. in 1999 and went head first in to the custom home, remodeling and commercial construction world. After receiving his Unlimited General Contractors License he grew Masters Properties into prominent company in the Wake County area.  After nearly a decade of building in the Raleigh area, Jon saw the opportunity and niche market that Moore County and Pinehurst had to offer. After commuting to and from Wake Forest for several years, Jon and his family moved to Southern Pines, NC and established permanent residence in 2010. Since 2010, Masters Properties has grown into the premiere custom home builder in Moore County under Jon’s leadership.
